Catrachos Restaurant opened in West Valley City in 2018 — born from one family's love for the flavors of Honduras and El Salvador.
How we started
In 2018, María Elena Dubon opened Catrachos to preserve the time-honored recipes of her homeland. The neighborhood quickly claimed it as its own.
The food that tells our story
Pillowy pupusas with curtido, hearty baleadas, mariscos straight from the coastlines of Central America — every dish traces back to tradition. Fresh ingredients and family techniques make each plate feel homemade.
A place to belong
Catrachos grew into a cultural home for West Valley City's Central American community. Birthdays, family dinners, late-night karaoke — these tables have held it all.
The 2025 expansion
In 2025, María Elena, Moisés Dubon, and their family opened a second West Valley City location. A testament to years of hard work and a heritage worth sharing.
